ISLAMABAD: Newly appointed DIG Islamabad Ali Wasim has assumed charge of the office of Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Islamabad.
On the occasion, he stated that the fundamental responsibility of Islamabad Police is to uphold the rule of law, protect the lives and property of citizens, and provide timely and effective police services to the public. He directed all officers to perform their duties with full responsibility, integrity, and professionalism.
DIG Islamabad further stated that there would be no compromise on the enforcement of law. Police officers must ensure courteous, respectful, and professional conduct with citizens and resolve public grievances on a priority basis. He expressed his resolve that all available resources would be utilized to eliminate crime, maintain law and order, and ensure the protection of citizens.
DIG Islamabad Ali Wasim said that Islamabad Police would work as a coordinated team to effectively prevent crime, enforce the law, and provide quality police services to citizens. He directed officers to focus particularly on maintaining an effective police presence in the field, further improving the patrolling system, taking action against criminal elements, and ensuring the timely resolution of citizens’ issues.
He directed officers to closely monitor the law and order situation in their respective areas, adopt effective and coordinated strategies for crime prevention, and ensure the protection of citizens’ lives and property at all times.
DIG Islamabad Ali Wasim said that, along with further improving the performance of the police force, the welfare of police officers and officials and the provision of a better working environment are also among the key priorities. He urged officers to utilize effective coordination, teamwork, and their professional capabilities to play their full role in making Islamabad a safer, more peaceful, and citizen-friendly city.
