ISLAMABAD: Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, visited duty points to review the overall situation and meet with the officers and officials deployed on duty. On this occasion, other senior police officers were also present.
DIG Islamabad directed all officers to remain fully alert and vigilant, emphasizing that no negligence would be tolerated in ensuring the security of citizens.
He further stated that “Every officer must stay alert, there will be no compromise on the safety of the people”. The continuity of peace and order in the city must be maintained at all costs. Any attempt at mischief or lawlessness will be dealt with strictly, and no one will be allowed to take the law into their own hands.”
He further appealed to the public to refrain from engaging in unlawful activities and to fully cooperate with the police in maintaining peace. He reiterated “The protection of citizens’ lives and property is our mission, while public trust is our most valuable asset.”
