FAISALABAD: The sad demise of Pakistan’s top nuclear scientist Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan has been condoled widely by various communities on Sunday.
President FCCI, Atif Munir Sheikh while grieving over Dr. AQ Khan’s death stated that “we all pray to Allah Almighty to bestow Dr. AQ Khan a high rank in Paradise grant patience to their families and he would be recognized forever as ‘Mohsin-e-Pakistan”.
Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan was not only a Pakistan’s Nuclear Scientist, but also a well-wisher of the humanity, Atif said, adding this renowned scientist’s life, will remain in the hearts of the people at all stages of life.
Furthermore, he said Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan became a national hero overnight, not only in Pakistan but in the Islamic world as well, when in May 1998 Pakistan gave a befitting response to India by conducting its nuclear tests.
Following the tests, Pakistan became the sole nuclear power in the Muslim world and emerged as the 7th country possessing nuclear weapons. By dint of Allah Almighty and Dr. Khan, Pakistan’s nuclear weapons have kept Indian aggression always in check, Mr. Atif concluded.
Meanwhile, Dr. Khan’s most nearest employee, Engineer Mian Usama Mahmood, said that, he has been working for the last five years with Nuclear Scientist Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan (NI, HI, FPAS, D. Eng) on Dr. AQ Khan’s welfare construction projects i.e Construction of Dr. A Q Khan Hospital Trust Lahore which is one of the many other welfare projects.
Usama said whenever he met him regarding official work there during the meeting, he found him with these salient features: He (Dr. AQ Khan) was a kind hearted, talented, dignified, the best Guidelines provider, zeal and dedication for humanity, happy and always good mood with the people.
He wanted to spend the rest of his life for the services of the humanity. He was not only a model for us but also for all the Pakistani and we learned a lot from his life’s extraordinary services.
Usama added Dr. AQ Khan always supported his juniors and colleagues in the field of education, experience, self grooming.
Undoubtedly, where the founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah created Pakistan for us to live an independent life, there Mr. Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan saved this homeland for good, Mr. Osama Mahmood said, adding, “we cannot forget this kindness of Dr. AQ Khan on Pakistan for the rest of our lives, where our generations will feel safe and secure on account of his giving us endless, unconquerable and concrete Pakistan”.
Senior Journalist Mian Rashid Asghar while expressing sorrow praised Dr. Khan with some lines “he worked smoothly emerged as a beautiful cloud; That floats on high over vales and hills of Pakistan; When all at once he saw a crowd of enemies around; Prepared the safety to bloom us like golden daffodils; Pakistan like the Daffodils beside the lake, beneath the trees; Fluttering and dancing in the breeze became unconquerable”
Condolences pour in from MPA, PML(N) Ejaz Hussain Bhatti Sangla Hill praised Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan by saying that he was, for the people of Pakistan, “a national icon”.
APTPMA Central Chairman, Hafiz Ihtasham Javed, Deeply saddened by the passing of Dr. A Q Khan. He was loved by our nation because of his critical contribution in making us a nuclear weapon state.
CEO (FESCO) Ch. Bashir Ahmed said, Mr. Khan has provided us security against an aggressive much larger nuclear neighbour. For the people of Pakistan he was a national icon.
President SCCI Sargodha, Ch. Shoaib Ahmad said, the country has lost a true benefactor. President Traders’ Leader, Khawaja Shahid Razaq Sikka paid tribute to the nuclear scientist by saying that he played a key role in making Pakistan invincible.
CEO l, Shippco Transport Pvt Ltd Karachi, Mr. Asim Saeed Khan said, I was deeply grieved over the news of Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan passing, adding that “Pakistan will forever honor his services to the nation”. Master Mahmood Akhtar heaped praise on the nuclear scientist, referring to him as the “pioneer of Pakistan’s nuclear program for securing us all from enemies’ bad eyes.
Principal Govt. Post Graduate College Sangla Hill, Mr. Saeed Ahmed stated, “Sad to learn of Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan’s death. He was a pioneer of Pakistan’s Nuclear program and contributed immensely to our security. He ‘Mohsin-e-Pakistan’ Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan, Pakistan’s Nuclear Scientist is the father of permanent security and safety of Pakistan.
President Ahle Sunnat, Allama Muhammad Ahmad Ludhianvi praised Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan by saying that he was, for the people of Pakistan, “a national icon”.
“Deeply saddened by the passing of Dr A Q Khan. He was loved by our nation because of his critical contribution in making us a nuclear weapon state. Khan has provided us security against an aggressive much larger nuclear neighbour. For the people of Pakistan, he was infact a national icon.

He was a pioneer of Pakistan’s nuclear program and contributed immensely to our security. Principal Mr. Iftikhar Khan Manawala, said Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan’s death was a loss for the nation.
Dr. AQ Khan’s life at a glance; Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan, born on April 1, 1936, in Bhopal, India, was a renowned Pakistani metallurgist and nuclear scientist. He was among those who migrated to Pakistan in 1947 with their families.
Khan is widely regarded as the “Father of Islamic Nuclear Bomb” or founder of gas-centrifuge enrichment technology for Pakistan’s nuclear deterrent program as he developed the Muslim world’s first atomic bomb. He acquired his engineering degree from a university in the Netherlands in 1967 and later went on to secure a doctorate in metallurgical engineering from Belgium. Dr. Khan was the first Pakistani was awarded three presidential medals. He has been awarded the Nishan-e-Imtiaz. Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan’s death was a loss for the nation.
