ISLAMABAD: Following the special directives and visions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the Islamabad Traffic Police has decided to use drone cameras to ensure smooth traffic flow and immediate action against violations in the federal capital.
On this occasion, Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad Captain (R) Syed Zeeshan Haider stated that the traffic police will ensure the enforcement of traffic laws with the help of drone cameras.
In the initial phase, these drone cameras will be used on the busy roads of Islamabad, including the Expressway and Srinagar Highway. In the next phase, this technology will also be used in all sectors and other roads.
He further added that with the help of drone cameras, it will be possible to immediately detect and prevent violations.
Drones will also be used to identify congested areas, upon which special teams will ensure a prompt response to maintain an effective traffic management system.
