Eight caught, drugs & arms recovered

ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops apprehended eight criminals from different areas and recovered drugs and weapons with ammunition from their possession.
Following the special directions of Inspector General of Police Islamabad, the Islamabad capital police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directives, the Aabpara police team arrested two accused namely Gulshan and Qaiser involved in illegally cylinder gas filling. Likewise, the Secretariat police team arrested an accused namely Akash and recovered one 30 bore pistol from his possession.
Similarly, the Phulgran police team arrested an accused namely Muhammad Javed and recovered 1470 gram hashish, 530 gram heroin and 120 gram Ice from his possession. The Industrial Area police team arrested an accused namely Muhammad Shahzad and recovered 1234 gram hashish from his possession.
Moreover, the Shams Colony police team arrested an accused namely Jahangir and recovered a 9mm pistol from his possession. Shahzad Town police arrested an accused namely Nadeem khan and recovered 1230 gram hashish from his possession. Furthermore, the Koral police arrested an accused namely Arslan and recovered one 30 bore pistol from his possession. Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.
IGP Islamabad directed all senior officials for effective crackdown against the accused involved in drug peddling and possessing illegal weapons. The performance of police officials in this regard would be reviewed on a continuous basis, he maintained.
