BAGHDAD: Eight rockets targeted on Sunday the heavily fortified Green Zone in central Baghdad, wounding an Iraqi soldier and causing damage to residential buildings, the Iraqi military said.
“The rockets were fired at the Green Zone in Baghdad this evening, and landed on several residential buildings inside al-Qadisiyah compound; the number of the rockets reached eight,” the media office of the Iraqi Joint Operations Command (JOC) said in a statement.
