ISLAMABAD: Special Representative of the Prime Minister on Religious Harmony and Middle East Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi has said that anti-Pakistan lobbies want sectarian riots in the country which were foiled by mutual alliance and will be thwarted in the future.
Addressing a press conference at the Muttahida Ulema Board, he said that some forces wanted to create chaos in the country in the name of religion. The present government is the guardian of madrassas, mosques and Khatm-e-Nabuwat (SAW). In the name of Islam, those who dream of Islamabad have done nothing but create chaos in the country, he added.
Tahir Ashrafi said that today the Palestinian nation and the Muslim Ummah are calling Imran Khan the spokesman of the Muslim Ummah on the issue of Palestine. We are happy that after Imran Khan s bold stance on the Palestinian issue, some opposition leaders have also remembered Palestine.
“We will not allow anyone in the country to spread hatred,” he said. Enemy lobbies in India and Pakistan want sectarian riots in the country which have been and will be thwarted by mutual alliance. Replying to a question, Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi said that cooperation with all Islamic and Arab countries in all fields is increasing. Negative propagandists know that Pakistan s relations with all Arab Islamic countries are very strong.
He said that Saudi Arabia has relations with Pakistan and the people of Pakistan. Saudi Arabia has never interfered in Pakistan s internal and external affairs.
Earlier on Saturday, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that India wanted to destabilize Pakistan by disseminating sectarian violence in the country. Talking to journalists in Multan, FM Qureshi said that Pakistan exposed the negative role of India to the international community by providing irrefutable evidence of Indian-sponsored state terrorism in Pakistan.
Responding to a question about Kashmir, the foreign minister said that Kashmiri youth are being martyred in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir by declaring them terrorists.
He added that voices are also being raised in the European countries about Indian atrocities in the occupied valley. The foreign minister said that Joe Biden administration is also talking about the human right violations being committed in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Replying to another question, Shah Mahmood Qureshi said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is the only party that gave all the details regarding foreign funding to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
He warned the opposition not to take law in its hands in the form of protests. FM Qureshi urged the opposition to adopt a democratic way to record its protest in front of the election commission.
