Karachi: The No.1 ranked Test side New Zealand will travel to England in June to play two-match Test series, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed.
The Blackcaps become fourth nation to tour England this summer with Sri Lanka (3 T20Is, 3 ODIs), Pakistan (3 ODIs, 3 T20Is), India (Five Tests) already scheduled to play. The first Test will be played at the ‘Home of Cricket’ Lord’s while the second will take place at Edgbaston.
“The prospect of our England Men’s team taking on the world’s two top-ranked Test nations in New Zealand and India this summer is something for us all to savour,” ECB Chief Executive Officer, Tom Harrison said.
New Zealand last played Test series in the country in 2015, when the series was drawn 1-1. The fixture at Lord’s will see both teams return to the scene of the dramatic World Cup final tie between the teams in 2019. – Agencies
