BEIJING: Foreign ambassadors in Beijing offered congratulations on the successful conclusion of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and said that China would create new opportunities for the world through its development and contribute more to addressing the common challenges facing humanity.
The diplomats made the comments at a dialogue in Beijing hosted on Wednesday by the Department of Foreign Affairs Management of the Foreign Ministry, during which they said the congress was a historic event with profound significance for both China and the world, praised China’s achievements and expressed their confidence that the country would achieve more brilliant outcomes. Ali Obaid Al Dhaheri, the ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to China, hailed the nation’s rapid development over the past decade and congratulated China on its milestone achievements. Dhaheri said that he had visited Malipo county in Yunnan province several times, and witnessed how it emerged from poverty. China has resolved the problem of absolute poverty and lifted nearly 100 million poor rural residents out of poverty, making significant contributions to global poverty reduction.
