Faisalabad formulates comprehensive plan for curbing smuggling of Wheat

FAISALABAD: The District Administration has formulated a comprehensive plan for the effective control of possible smuggling of wheat and in this regard, full support will be extended from the district and Motorway Police.
It was decided at the meeting that teams of District Administration and police would be on duty at the entrance and exit points of Motorway interchanges and checking of truck loaders would be ensured.
Apart from this, all possible measures & support will be provided by the Motorway Police. It was also decided during the meeting that loader vehicles would be stopped and checked at the check posts on the highways as well. The Deputy Commissioner Ali Shahzad said that apart from preventing the smuggling of wheat, the hoarding was also stopped with full legal force and the law on hoarding would be enacted. He ordered to be active for control of smuggling and progress report should be submitted.
He also asked the food department to use all possible means to curb the hoarding and smuggling of wheat and flour and to keep abreast of the performance reports. The CPO said that the district police would fulfill its responsibilities to curb the illegal movement and storage of wheat.
The meeting was informed that special checking teams are being deployed at Interchange Sahiyanwala, Millat Road, Sargodha Road, Aminpur Road, Jhang Road, Tandlianwala, Jaranwala.
