Faithfuls offer Ramadan’s 1st Jumma prayer at Faisal Masjid

ISLAMABAD: A mammoth gathering of faithful offered first Jumma prayer of Ramadan at Faisal Masjid that was led by Prof. Dr. Sohail Hassan, Former Director General, Dawah Academy of International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI).
Dr. Sohail Hassan also delivered Jumma sermon in which he highlighted the importance and sanctity of the Ramadan.
He said that this month is a blessing and a gift for Muslims to get back to the track which has been identified by the Almighty.
He stressed to observe fast with full spirit, while saying that it teaches about tolerance in the life.
Former DG Dawah Academy of IIUI called for unity of Muslims and urged that education must be top priority to deal with the challenges of hour.
He said that Islam is the religion of peace and Muslims must disseminate true message of Islam.
Dr Sohail furthered that violent attitudes be discouraged in the societies and comprehensive framework must be devised for image building of Islam. He also prayed for the prosperity of the country on this occasion.
Jumma prayer was also attended by renowned figures of society, high ups of the International Islamic University and Muslim diplomats of Islamic countries.
