Multan: Opening batsman Fakhar Zaman has guided Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) to 178/7 in 20 overs against Central Punjab (KP) in the 13th fixture of the National T20 Cup.
Fakhar scored 66 off 42 balls powered by two fours and five sixes. Captain Mohammad Rizwan, Shoaib Malik, Asif Afridi made valuable contributions.
Fakhar and Rizwan (23) provided a good start after winning the toss. Hafeez made 17 in 14 balls. Asif played a 7-ball cameo, scoring 20 runs with the help of two sixes and a four. Malik remained not-out on 27* while Iftikhar Ahmed made 14.
For CP, medium-pacer Ahmed Bashir dismissed three KP’s wickets. Zafar Gohar, Qasim Akram, Ehsan Adil, Usman Qadir took a wicket each.
