Farewell ceremony held in honour of retired cop

ISLAMABAD: After serving Islamabad Police for over 39 years, Sub-Inspector Iftikhar Hussain has retired. In this regard, a dignified farewell ceremony was organized at the Capital Police College, Islamabad. Director Special Initiatives Shams-ul-Haq Durrani attended the ceremony as the Chief Guest, while other police officers were also present.
While paying tribute to the services rendered by the retired Sub-Inspector Iftikhar Hussain for the police department, the Director Special Initiatives said that retirement is a part of service, whoever joins service will retire one day.
He added that Iftikhar Hussain served the police department for a long period, and now it is the departments responsibility to serve him. He emphasized that during service, everyone should strive to perform such deeds that bring honor to their name and ensure that their character is remembered in good words. He further stated that all officers should pledge to serve the public to the maximum extent during their service to seek the pleasure of Almighty Allah.
He further said that the retired police officer devoted a valuable part of his life to serving the police department and the public, and in return, the department also granted him respect, dignity, and a reputable position, for which he should be thankful to Allah Almighty.
He added that if the retired officer faces any personal or official issue, the doors of his office will always remain open for him. At the end of the ceremony, the chief guest appreciated the commendable services of the retired police officer, presented him with a bouquet of flowers and an honorary police shield, and extended his best wishes for his future.
