QUETTA: At least six people were killed and more than 20 others injured when two passenger buses collided in the Reej area of Kalat district, Balochistan.
The crash, which occurred due to high speed, resulted in multiple casualties.
Ambulances were quickly dispatched to the scene, and the injured were promptly transferred to DHQ hospital in Kalat, where an emergency was declared and medical assistance is being provided.
Levies sources confirmed that an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident. The incident comes on the heels of two other violent occurrences in the region.
On Wednesday, six passengers lost their lives in a brutal attack on a Karachi-bound bus in Gwadar’s Kalmat area.
In another incident that same day, a bomb blast near a police van on Quetta’s Double Road killed two people and injured at least 17 others, including four police officers, according to local authorities. –Agencies
