Karachi: Veteran batsman Mohammad Hafeez in his congratulatory post for Fawad Alam emphasized that the 35-year-old’s hard work and dedication has proved his critics wrong. The 40-year-old Hafeez took to Twitter and wrote that he is proud of what the team did on the last day of first Pakistan-New Zealand Test. “Ur [Your] hard work, dedication & resilience proved many many wrong. Respect, well done & congratulations on scoring second Test hundred,” Hafeez tweeted. Hafeez is hoping that Pakistan will now come back harder in the final Test at Christchurch, starting from January 3. It must be noted that New Zealand beat Pakistan in the first Test y 101 at Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui. Fawad Alam was the man of the day as he smashed a hundred in Test cricket after 11 years. Pakistan were dismissed for 271 while chasing a target of 372, with only 4.3 overs remaining.
