FCCI starts membership renewal campaign

FAISALABAD: Membership Renewal Campaign of the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) is gaining momentum and two additional counters have been created for the facilitation of the members, said Mr. Atif Munir Sheikh President FCCI.

He was addressing the FCCI Adhoc Standing Committee on Renewal of Membership for the year 2022-23. The meeting was also attended by Mian Javed Iqbal, Engineer Rizwan Ashraf, Chaudhary Muhammad Nawaz, Rana Sikandar Azam, Chaudahry Talat Mahmood and Mian Tanveer Ahmad etc.

Mian Javed Iqbal appreciated the performance of the Adhoc committee and hoped that the ambitious target of 90% would be achieved due to the keen interest of the FCCI office bearers, executive and concerned standing committee. He underlined the importance of the FCCI in resolving the issues of the business community and said that different sectors have their own associations but the role of these trade bodies is limited to the local level. “FCCI is imperative to resolve their issues relating to policy making at Federal and Provincial level”, he added. Mian Javed Iqbal said that the real strength of the FCCI is its members and we must convince maximum businessmen to get the membership of FCCI in addition to enhancing their close liaison with their associations. He urged the members of the Adhoc committee to use its influence to achieve the hundred percent target of renewal in addition to convincing the business community to get membership of the FCCI. President FCCI Mr. Atif Munir Sheikh said that maximum facilities have been provided to the individuals visiting FCCI for the renewal of their membership. He said that these membership counters would work uninterrupted from 9AM to 5PM. Chairs have also been placed in the main entrance hall in addition to arranging cold potable water and tea for the visitors. He further said that messages are regularly being dispatched to the members through WhatsApp, emails and telephone requesting them to renew their membership positively before March 31, 2022. He said that he himself writes welcome letters to the new members in addition to informing them about the facilities offered by the FCCI to its valued members. He said that various desks of different departments have also been established in FCCI to facilitate the members. “Among these include Police Khidmat Markaz, FTO (Federal Tax Ombudsman) and NPO etc.”, he said and added that a publicity campaign has also been launched about the ongoing renewal campaign. The participants of the meeting also pinpointed their sector specific issues and said that the notices regarding Point of Sale have become a constant irritant for the FCCI members and the President must take notice of this perturbing situation.
