FCCI stresses on economic uplift, political stability

FAISALABAD: Pakistan’s survival is totally hidden in economic uplift & Political stability.
There is hanging fear of loss of four million dollars on awarding four Eid holidays, said President FCCI Atif Munir Shikh & former president M. Ayub Sabir.
While expressing great concern over 4 holidays in connection with Eid-ul-Fitr they said that long holidays would be a severe blow to the country’s exports and It is estimated to cost 400 million. He said that there was an urgent need to increase exports to revive the economy on a sustainable basis while the present Prime Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif also believed in work, work and work only besides shortening weekly holidays.
He further said that in the current situation, there should be only two compulsory holidays on Eid-ul-Fitr while four holidays would have a negative impact on Pak. exports.
He elaborated that Pakistan’s daily exports are estimated at 100 100 million. Thus, a two-day vacation with two essential vacations would cost the economy 200 million. He said that at present exporters have a large number of orders and their timely shipping may be delayed due to holidays so the government should immediately review the decision of 4 holidays to save the national economy from huge losses. It can go in descaling our economy if we don’t decide in favour of of Pakistan I economic development phenomena.
Each and every institution of Pakistan will have to prove and play pivotal role in Pak. enrichment.
