Lahore: Pakistan skipper Babar Azam feels proud to be named in the top three batters of world cricket because of the performances in all three formats of the game.
The 26-year-old Babar while sharing his thoughts on former captain Inzamam-ul-Haq’s YouTube channel ‘The Match Winner’ said that he tries to learn as much as possible from New Zealand’s Kane Williamson and India’s Virat Kohli.
“Feels proud to be compared with them and this gives me the confidence to do well for my country,” Babar said.
“I try not to indulge in past performances and focus to do more just like they [Williamson and Kohli] are doing for their team. I observe how they are producing match-winning performances constantly and think that I have to do the same for my team too,” he added. Babar revealed that he enjoys his cricket and does not catch away with past performances. “I don’t get satisfied with my performances. I don’t leave my regular work ethic. My routine is the same whether I scored hundred or 0,” he added.
