FAISALABAD: Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) has introduced state of the art net metering for its tubewell consumers. In this connection, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) FESCO Engr. Bashir Ahmed told, that tubewell consumers could install the net metering after fixing the solar panel at their connections and now there is no need of NEPRA approval for up to 25 Kilowatt net metering. Thus tubewell consumers can significantly reduce their electricity bills through providing electricity to FESCO after the installation of net metering.
He said that during months when electricity consumption is low, net metering consumers could increase their revenue by selling surplus electricity to FESCO because maintenance cost of net metering is negligible.
He further said that procedure for the obtaining new connection has also been simplified. Tubewell consumers would submit their applications in their respective sub divisions after completing the all formalities while competent authority would approve the connection after comprehensive technical review of the application. Afterwards, FESCO and consumers would sign an agreement and then demand notice would be issued. After payment of the demand notice FESCO would install and hand over the net metering connection to consumers.
In this regard, the company has issued necessary instructions to all the circles while informative pamphlets are also being distributed along with the electricity bills.
