Films slated for release on Eid-ul-Fitr!

Eids are always the biggest traction of the year at the box office and every year we see a cluster of releases on Eid Holidays. A lot of promising big films were lined up for release on this Eid-ul-Firt as well however some filmmakers have sensibly averted a bigger cluster by pulling out their films for the betterment of the industry at large. Here is the updated list of films confirmed for release this Eid-ul-Fitr!

1. Fast and Furious 9

One of Pakistan’s favorite Hollywood franchises, the fast and furious series is releasing their 9th installment. The brand of Fast and Furious has a huge fan following in Pakistan.

The film’s previous installment, Fast 8 is the second highest grossing Hollywood film in Pakistan, while Fast and Furious series have secured 3 out of the top 5 positions on the list of the highest grossing Hollywood films in Pakistan. The dearly loved and anxiously awaited film is expected to ran riots at the Box Office! The film stars Vin Diesel, John Cena, Michelle Rodriguez and singer Cardi B among others.

2. Lafangey Chapter 1

We recently broke the news that the Sami Khan and debutante Nazish Jahangir starrer horror comedy “Lafangey: Chapter 1” has also been confirmed for release this Eid-ul-Fitr! The film’s teaser and poster will be unveiled in the end of March while the trailer will drop in the first week of April! The film explores a new genre and is certainly a very promising addition to the list of films releasing this Eid. Lafangey: Chapter 1 is Tariq Habib Rind’s production and Abdul Khaliq Khan’s directorial.Previously, another Sami Khan starrer Wrong No 2 released on Eid ul Fitr last year and went on to collect over PKR 200 million.

3. The Legend of
Maula Jatt

The magnum opus, The Legend of Maula Jatt has finally been confirmed for release on Eid-ul-Fitr and the film’s announcement has sent people into a frenzy! People have been religiously awaiting the release of this film ever since its enticing teaser dropped.

The Legend of Maula Jatt stars sought after actors Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Humaima Malik and Gohar Rasheed among others.
Recently Bilal Lashari in an conversation with Epk revealed that they are not in any hurry to release the film’s theatrical trailer as the film is already very high on buzz.

4. Tich Button

Tich Button have also confirmed their release on Eid-ul-Fitr as they had already launched their teaser and had locked their release date. Tich Button’s filmy teaser showed a lot of promise and we are anticipating it to be a brilliant film. Tich Button stars celebrated actors Farhan Saeed, Feroze Khan, Soniya Hussain and Iman Ali among others.
We believe Tich Button makes a worthy contender on Eid-ul-Fitr as well.

5. Scoob

Animated films always have limited audiences over the Eid period and so far only one animated children’s film Scoob has been confirmed for release this Eid-ul-Fitr. It is an upcoming American adventure comedy film featuring characters from the Scooby-Doo franchise, produced by the Warner Animation Group and distributed by Warner Bros. The animated film will be distributed by HKC in Pakistan.
The Spongebob Movie: It’s a Wonderful Sponge is also slated for release on Eid-ul-Fitr however the film has not been confirmed for release in Pakistan yet! Anticipated films like Money Back Guarantee and Dum Mastam which were previously slated for release on Eid-ul-Fitr have decided against releasing on Eid-ul-Fitr.
As per our sources, the star studded film Money Back Guarantee will now be releasing 4 weeks after Eid ul Fitr.
