ISLAMABAD– Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan said on Saturday that the country s institutions were our pride and guarantor of the defense and security of the motherland.
In a series of tweets, she said dragging the state institutions into the politics for sordid political interests “is regrettable and reprehensible.”
She said the people and the national security institutions have rendered immense sacrifices for achieving peace in the country.
She said JUI-F chief Fazlur Rehman should not take forward the agenda of the country s enemy through his negative politics of trying to make the institutions
“controversial.”
Awan said that the “kings of corruption” who could not see beyond their personal interests have been using Fazl for their own motives.
She asked Fazl to not become a tool in the hands of these corrupt elements
“Fazlur Rehman should not blemish the emerging positive face of the country through his armed group and hoisting of Taliban flags in the protest march.”
Awan said Prime Minister Imran Khan has a deep association with Pakistan. “He is the real son of the homeland and a national hero.”
Awan also accuses PPP Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari of “betraying Benazir Bhutto s philosophy and her sacrifice fighting terrorism by attending a
gathering of groups of people carrying Taliban flags”.
The rebuke comes after (as yet) unverified pictures and videos of people holding and waving Afghan Taliban flags at the JUI-F dharna circulated on social
media.
“Prime Minister Imran Khan and Pakistan go hand in hand. He (the premier) is a true son of the soil and a national hero.”
