Five members of dacoits’ gang busted

-Snatched cell phones, bikes & arms recovered

ISLAMABAD: The I-Area police team of Islamabad Capital police apprehended five members of a dacoit gang, involved in a series of robberies and recovered looted cash,mobile phone motorbike and weapons from their possession.
According to the details, Capital Cops had categorically crackdown against criminals involved in illegal activities in order to maintain peace and tranquility in the city.
Following the special directives of DIG Operations Sohail Zafar Chatha, I-Area police team under the supervision of SP I-Area Zone used the latest technology and human resources and arrested five members of a notorious dacoit gang, involved in looting people at gunpoint.
Police team also recovered two motorbike, eight mobile phone and two 30 bore pistols with ammunition from their possession. The accused were identified as Umer Khayyam, Muhammad Khaqan, Umer Zaman, Qasim zaman,Muhammad Furqan . Cases against nominated accused have been registered and further investigation is underway.
DIG Operations Sohail Zafar Chatha said that the safety of the lives and property of the citizens is our prime responsibility and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard. “The officers with good performance will be rewarded while the officers showing laxity towards their official duties will be dealt with iron hands”, he maintained.
