Foolproof security measures adopted for Independence Day

ISLAMABAD: DIG Islamabad Syed Ali Raza chaired an important meeting, to ensure foolproof security arrangements for Independence Day in the federal capital, Islamabad. The meeting was attended by SSP Operations, Zonal SPs, SDPOs, and SHOs.
On this occasion, DIG Islamabad said that the Islamabad Police are taking all possible measures to ensure the safety of citizens’ lives and property.
All officers should organize rallies in connection with Independence Day within their police station jurisdictions, ensure law and order, maintain smooth traffic flow while being on the field, and take action against one-wheeling.
Rowdiness and violation of the law will not be tolerated under any circumstances. He also directed that action be taken against workshops preparing motorcycles for one-wheeling, and without any discrimination, against vehicles and motorcycles with non-standard and fancy number plates.
He further directed the deployment of special police units at recreational places and markets. The mobile patrolling units of police stations, along with special squads of the CTD and Dolphin force, should be tasked with patrolling duties.
Rowdiness and violation of the law will not be tolerated under any circumstances, said DIG Islamabad, Syed Ali Raza. He added that effective crackdowns against lawbreakers would be conducted on Independence Day.
Islamabad Police are taking all possible measures to ensure the safety of citizens’ lives and property, and no one will be allowed to disrupt the peace of citizens.
Citizens are also requested to keep an eye on their surroundings and immediately report any suspicious activity to their respective police stations, the emergency helpline ‘Pucar’ at 15, or the ICT-15 app.
