ISLAMABAD: Criminal Investigation Agency (CIA) of Islamabad Police has nabbed Afghan nationals involved in criminal activities and recovered a car and weapons from their possession.
According to details, IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan ordered crackdown against criminals including those involved in street crime and bootlegging. Following these orders, DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed has directed all zonal offices to accelerate their efforts to curb the crime in the city.
Following these directions, SP Investigation Malik Naeem Iqbal constituted a special team under the supervision of DSP CIA Hakim Khan including Sub-Inspectors Asim Ali Zahidi, Nadeem Tahir, ASI Jaffar Ali along with others. The team nabbed wanted member afghan nationals involved in dacoities ’ and recovered snatched cash and other valuables from them. The accused have been identified as Sheer Agha, Tahseen, Waheed Gul and Nadar Khan while the police team recovered a car, cash and two 30-bore pistols along with ammunition from their possession. Moreover, during preliminary investigation, the accused confessed their involvement in incidents of looting people in various areas of PS Sabzi Mandi and it’s surrounding along with their other accomplices.
DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed has appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials to ensure effective policing measures in their respective areas.
Man held during special checking
ISLAMABAD: On the special directives of SP Industrial Zone Zubair Ahmad Sheikh, PS Sabzi Mandi, during special inspection, busted accused namely Ajmal Khan. A pistol along others ammunition was recovered from his possession.
The entire operation was conducted by SHO Muhammad Iqbal along his team under the supervision of DSP Ghulam Muhammad Bakir. A case is registered against the accused while probe is underway in this regard.
IGP Islamabad and DIG Operations has appreciated the performance of the entire team.
