Four inter-provisional car lifters caught, 8 stolen vehicles recovered

ISLAMABAD: Anti Vehicle Lifting Unit (AVLU) of Islamabad Capital Police has arrested four wanted members of an inter-provisional car lifter gang and recovered 08 stolen vehicles from their possession.
Following the special directions of Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad Capital Police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directions, under the supervision of Incharge AVLU the police team used technical and human resources and succeeded in apprehending four wanted members of an inter-provisional car lifter gang and recovered 08 stolen vehicles from their possession.
The accused were identified as Adil Shahzad, Adeel Abbas, Wajahat Ali and Imdad Khan. During the preliminary investigation, the accused confessed to being involved in numerous car lifting incidents in various areas of Islamabad, Rawalpindi and other districts.
Moreover, the arrest of other accomplices of the accused is underway. Numerous cases have already been registered against the nabbed accused, and further investigation is underway.
