Ghotki: At least four people were killed in an armed attack on the homes of the Korai community in Ghotki district of Sindh, media reported on Tuesday.
According to details, four people, including two women, were killed when gunmen opened fire on members of the Korai community near Khanpur Mahar, located in the Ghotki district.
Local residents stated that a jurisdictional dispute between the Khanpur Mahar and Mubarakpur police stations prevented law enforcement from reaching the crime scene in a timely manner.
The Station House Officer (SHO) of Khanpur Mahar confirmed that the incident occurred in the Haikal Pat area, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Mubarakpur police station in Sukkur.
He added that police teams from both stations have now been dispatched to the location.
The SHO further said that the attack appears to be the result of a longstanding tribal feud, and that a formal investigation into the matter is currently underway.
