RAWALPINDI: At least four terrorists were neutralised in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Khy-ber-Pakhtunkhwa’s Khyber district conducted by the security force on reported presence of terrorists on Monday, the military said.
“During the conduct of operation, intense fire exchange took place between own troops and terror-ists, as a result of which four terrorists were sent to hell including terrorist ringleader Qari Wajid alias Qari Baryal and terrorist ringleader Razziq,” the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a state-ment.
The military’s media wing said that terrorists’ hideout was also busted during the operation and a large cache of weapons, ammunition and explosives was recovered.
Locals of the area appreciated the operation. “Sanitisation operation is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorist found in the area as security forces are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country,” it maintained. –Agencies
