ISLAMABAD: PS Aabpara busted four members of a dacoits’ gang and recovered weapons and motorbike from their possession.
According to details, IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan had ordered crackdown against criminal elements. Following these directives, DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed directed all zonal officers to accelerate their efforts in curbing crime in the city.
Thus, SP City Omer Khan constituted a special team under the supervision of DSP Iqbal Khan including PS Aabpara’s SHO Inspector Irshad Ali Abro, ASIs Ehsan Ullah, Gul Khan along with other officials, which successfully arrested four members of a dacoit’s gang, involved in snatching mobile phones and other valuables at gunpoint.
The culprits were later identified as Muhammad Abid, Aqib Iqbal, Muhammad Atif and Muhammad Khan. Cops also recovered four 30-bore illicit pistol along with ammunition and motorbike from their possession. Separate cases have been registered against the nabbed accused at PS Aabpara while further investigation is underway from them.
DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed, on the orther hand, has appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials to ensure effective policing measures in their respective areas.
