ISLAMABAD: Following the special directions of IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the Islamabad Police continues indiscriminate operations against criminal elements to maintain law and order in the federal capital and ensure the protection of citizens lives and property.
In this regard, Islamabad Police Phulgran police station further expanded the scope of its operations against criminal elements and, utilizing modern technical and human resources, successfully arrested four dangerous members of an organized and active gang during a targeted operation.
The arrested accused were involved in serious crimes including shop robberies, motorcycle snatching, and petrol pump dacoities. Police team also recovered stolen motorcycles worth millions of rupees, several valuable mobile phones, and weapons with ammunition used in criminal activities from the possession of the accused.
During the initial investigation, the arrested accused confessed to their involvement in multiple incidents of snatching and robbery in various areas of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq stated that Islamabad Police is continuing large-scale operations against organized and active criminal gangs. He further said that the protection of citizens lives and property remains the top priority of Islamabad Police, and indiscriminate action against criminal elements will continue.
He urged citizens to immediately report any suspicious activity to the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” or the nearest police station to help eliminate crime and ensure a safe society.
