ISLAMABAD: Federation Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and Vietnam have agreed for enhancing the bilateral trade and economic ties to further boost the trade and investment volume between both sides.
Pakistan can avail the opportunity for enhancing the export to Vietnam in textiles, leather, pharmaceutical, fruit, vegetable, IT industry, sports goods, banking, fish farming, and infrastructure development and agriculture value chain, the Ambassador of Vietnam to Pakistan Nguyen Tien Phong said this during visit to FPCCI Capital office Islamabad along with Chairman FPCCI Capital office Islamabad, Haji Qurban Ali and Coordinator FPCCI Mirza Abdul Rehman.
The Ambassador that already the Vietnam has signed Free Trade Agreement with 38 countries for promoting trade liberalization and enhance the trade volume.
He informed that Pakistan and Vietnam were also negotiating on Preferential Trade Agreement, which leads towards the FTA between both sides for enhancing bilateral trade volume.
Nguyen Tien Phong said that Vietnam has focused on Foreign Direct Investment and economic integration with outer world and develop strategic partnership with potential global and regional partners. He said that China Pakistan Economic Corridor is project of huge potential and there is huge opportunity for investors to investment in mega project of $62 billion.
Meanwhile both sides agreed for strong bounding relations in business and industry in near future.
Ambassador of Vietnam, while offering FPCCI office bearers to visit his country stated that with exchange of different sector’s Business delegations with mutual understanding, will help in increase of Trade and Industry relations between both Pakistan and Vietnam. He also agreed for tourism relationship to be enhanced between both Pakistan and Vietnam in near future.
He said that Embassy here in Pakistan will also help for vise processing of Business delegations towards Vietnam, he added. FPCCI agreed for trade and industry relations to be enhanced for long terms mutually in different sectors like energy, tourism, etc.
Haji Qurban Ali, Chairman FPCCI Capital Office and Mirza Abdul Rehman Coordinator said that Pakistani black pepper, pharmaceutical products and lots of other Pakistani products have big market and demand as well in Vietnam. IT industry, software, agriculture, education, energy and culture, are the sectors in which Pakistan and Vietnam have great opportunity for exchange of trade, KPK province, and Gilgit Baltistan Region of Pakistan have great opportunities of exchange of culture and tourism between both the countries. Vietnam Investors have to visit Pakistan and avail opportunity in CPEC project for long term trade relations between both the countries.
Pakistan have to avail opportunity of fruit, vegetable export to Vietnam, and for textile, IT industry, sports goods, banking, fish farming, and infrastructure development have great opportunities in both countries business relations to be exchanged. And business community of Vietnam and Pakistan has to exchange their delegation for this purpose, we hope that Vietnam Ambassador will help us for this purpose in near future, Qurban Ali & Mirza Abdul Rehman added.
