ISLAMABAD: Closing ceremony was held at Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) under the Friends of Police Programme to mark the completion of an internship by students of the Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST) and Bahria University. Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad Kainat Azhar Khan attended the ceremony as the chief guest, while Director ITP FM 92.4 Ayesha Jameel was also present.
During the internship, the students were introduced to various departments of Islamabad Traffic Police and briefed on different professional aspects of policing and traffic management. They were also provided practical insight into traffic management, enforcement of traffic laws and public facilitation services.
At the ceremony, CTO Islamabad Kainat Azhar Khan encouraged the students and distributed certificates among those who successfully completed the internship. She appreciated their participation and interest in learning about the practical working of Islamabad Traffic Police.
CTO Islamabad Kainat Azhar Khan said that introducing the younger generation to practical aspects of policing and traffic management is aimed at promoting awareness about law-abiding behavior, traffic rules and responsible citizenship. She said that creating awareness among young people about compliance with traffic laws and road safety remains among the key priorities of Islamabad Traffic Police.
