Southampton: Only a few hours play took place on final day of the second Test and Pakistan were able to take three wickets as England declared the first inning at 110-4.
On a sunny afternoon, England were off to good start with Dom Sibley (32) and Zak Crawley (53) adding 84 runs to their 91-runs partnership. Under pressure Pakistan, finally broke the partnership with the help of Mohammad Abbas who trapped Crawley for LBW.
In just his next over, Abbas picked up his second wicket, this time removed Dom Sibley with a catch behind the stumps. Yasir Shah picked up Ollie Pope to reduce England to 105-4.
Azhar Ali came to bowl his first over in the series and managed to bowl just a delivery as umpires called for stumps.
Earlier, Pakistan were bowled out for 236 in their first inning. The visitors faced collapse in their batting but Mohammad Rizwan secured their position and took them to a fighting total by scoring 72 runs off 139 balls including seven boundaries.
Abid Ali scored 60 off 111 balls while Babar Azam made 47 off 127 balls laced with three boundaries.
Stuart Broad took four wickets while James Anderson bagged three. Sam Curran and Chris Woakes shared a wicket apiece.
Pakistan and England will play third and last from Friday [August 21.
