ISLAMABAD: Funeral prayer of Islamabad capital police Constable Ansar Mehmood was offered at Police Lines Headquarters. Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr Akbar Nasir Khan, CPO Safe City and a large number of police officials offered the funeral prayer.
According to the details, the funeral prayer of Constable Ansar Mehmood posted at the Logistic division of Islamabad capital police was offered at Police Lines Headquarters. Yesterday, on the Captain Colonel Sher Khan Shaheed Road, unidentified suspects opened fire on Constable Ansar Mehmood, who was critically injured in the bullet injury and lost his life.
Following the tragic incident, a substantial contingent of Islamabad capital police swiftly cordoned off the area and established barricades in various locations to apprehend the suspects.
ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan promptly visited PIMS Hospital, where he personally assessed the situation.
Determined to seek justice, he formed a specialized investigation team under the supervision of SSP Investigation and directed to thoroughly investigate the incident from every possible angle.
ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, issued clear directives to senior police officers, emphasizing their responsibility to extend comprehensive support to the bereaved family. He also condoled with the family of the deceased and assured the grieved families of full support from the department and that their family would be taken care of.
