Gang busted, six cars, many bikes recovered

ISLAMABAD: Anti-Car Lifting Cell (ACLC) of Capital Cops has busted a gang of car and bike lifters and recovered six cars and as many motorcycles from it worth hundreds of thousands of rupees.
According to details, following the directives of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan, DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed assigned task to SP (Investigation) Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanveer to accelerate efforts against auto-thieves and car-lifters.
Following his directions, special team was constituted under supervision of In-charge ACLC Sub-Inspector Liaqat Ali, ASIs Sajid Mehmood, Abrar, Mashooq Ali, Manzoor Elahi, Gulzar Ahmed, along with other officials.

This team achieved a success and apprehended three members of car and bike lifters’ kohstani gang. The gangsters have been identified as Anwar-Ul-Haq, s/o Zain-Ul-Haq, Ejaz-Ul-Haq s/o Pir Wali and Altaf Hussain Shah s/o Imlak Hussain Shah resident of district Bata gram while police recovered six stolen car and six stolen motorbikes from their possession.
The registration number of recovered vehicles are as follows: Suzuki Mehran AWP-402, Honda Civic Car, Honda City Car JB-941, Suzuki Bolan, Honda Civic, Corolla Car LWK-020.
The bikes recovered from this gang bear registration number as s follows: Honda CHL-5746, Honda C-D 70 AKR-618 and Applied for mort bikes.
Moreover, during preliminary investigation, they confessed to lift these vehicles and motorcycles from various areas of twin cities.
Separate cases have been registered against the nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them. IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan and DIG (Operations) Waqar Uddin Syed have appreciated the performance of ACLC police team and directed the officials to intensify efforts to curb car and motorbike lifting incidents.
