-Four held, snatched valuables recovered

ISLAMABAD: Criminal Investigation Agency (CIA) of Capital Cops arrested four members of a dacoit gang including his leader and recovered snatched cash, mobile phones, stolen motorbike and weapons from their possession.
According to details, following the directives of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Amir Zulfiqar Khan, Deputy Inspector General of Police Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed assigned special task to SP Investigation to ensure arrest of those involved in house burglaries.
A special team constituted by SP Investigation Malik Naeem Iqbal, under the supervision of DSP CIA Hakim Khan including Sub-Inspector Naeem Tahir and others busted a gang involved in looting people at gunpoint in the areas of Ramana and Noon police station. The accused were Identified as Muhammad Tanveer, Muhammad Saeed, Ali Akber resident of district sahiwal and Rana Azam resident of district Sargodha and recovered snatched cash, 03 mobile phones, stolen motorbike and weapons from their possession, Separate cases have been registered against the nabbed and further investigation is underway.
IGP Islamabad and DIG Operations have appreciated the performance of CIA Police team and announced commendation certificates along with cash rewards for policemen.
12 drug pushers caught during special crackdown
ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops has launched massive crackdown against drugs pushers and criminals and 12 accused has been arrested in 24 hours.
According to details, on the special orders of the IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfqar Khan, DIG Operations Waqar-Ud-Din Syed had issued these directions to all zonal officers. During last 24 hours, Islamabad police accelerated their efforts and 12 criminals including four drug peddlers are nabbed during this crackdown.
Following these directions, PS Bara Kaho busted a drug pusher namely Aamir Haider and recovered 1040 grams hashish from him. PS Sabzi Mandi booked two accused Muhammad Zahoor and Mir Wise and recovered 1200 grams hashish and six wine bottles from their possession.
PS Industrial Area nabbed two accused Muhammad Ali and Akram and recovered 10 liters alcohol wine and one 30 bore pistol from their possession. PS Noon apprehended two accused Ghulam Abbas and Mustafa Khan and recovered 150 gram hashish and one 44 bore rifle along with ammunition. PS Secretariat arrested accused Ghulam Sarwar and recovered one wine bottle from him. CIA police team apprehended two accused Muhammad Saeed and Muhammad Tanveer and recovered two 30 bore pistols from their possession.
Similarly, PS Shahzad Town busted accused Muhammad Address involved in theft. PS Nilor arrested two accused Tahir Hussain and Noor Alam and recovered 128 gram heroine and five liters alcohol wine from their possession. PS Koral team apprehended four accused Qamer Ishfaq, Touseef Ahmed, Adnan Zaheer and Nadeem Khan and recovered 3.100 hashish and two 30 bore pistols along with ammunition, while the given police team also arrested eight persons including four ladies involved in immoral activities. Separate cases have been registered against all nominated accused and further investigation is underway from them. During special checking in the whole city, police nabbed 14 proclaimed offender and court absconders. DIG Operations Islamabad Waqar-ud-Din Syed has said that these social evils would be curbed and those backing those drug peddlers and professional beggars would be dealt with iron hands. He further emphasized that this campaign would be continued until elimination of those social criminals.
