Gang of thieves busted, booty recovered

ISLAMABAD: Following the special directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the Islamabad Police continues its indiscriminate crackdown against criminal elements involved in theft and other unlawful activities in the federal capital.
In this regard, the Karachi Company Police team conducted a successful operation using technical and human intelligence leading to the arrest of three accused including two ladies belonging to an organized gang involved in multiple theft activities.
The arrested individuals were identified as Sadia Noman, Abida Bibi and Noman. Police team also recovered stolen cash and a car used in crime from their possession. Legal proceedings have been initiated and further investigation is in progress.
DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq stated that Islamabad Police is taking all necessary measures to ensure the safety of citizens’ lives and property. No criminal will be allowed to disturb the peace of the public, he added.
He also urged the public to cooperate with the police and report any suspicious activity or object to their respective police stations or the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” immediately.
