Iran’s top negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said on Monday Tehran would turn the naval blockade into “another defeat for the enemy”, according to a message posted on his Telegram channel.
He criticised recent statements by US President Donald Trump regarding the memorandum of understanding (MoU), saying the remarks contradicted parts of the agreement reached between the sides.
He said the comments demonstrated that Washington was neither seeking a ceasefire nor genuine dialogue. Ghalibaf added that Iran’s objective remained ending the war and achieving stable security, but stressed that Tehran had no trust in the opposing party. –Agencies
