SHANGHAI: Doctors at Renji Hospital in Shanghai are preparing to perform surgery on giant panda Qi Qi from Shanghai Wild Animal Park, eastday.com, a Shanghai-based news outlet, reported on Wednesday.
The panda was sent to the hospital on Monday after displaying abnormal symptoms including excessive rest, low activity and poor appetite.
The veterinary team of the animal park carried out a clinical examination and took some action to address her symptoms.
Treatments including intravenous injection and aperient were recommended and administered.
