ISLAMABAD: Senate Chairman Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani said that Chinese companies working in Pakistan were contributing positively in the national economy of the country.
Addressing a ceremony in Islamabad, he said Pakistan offered immense potential in trade, investment and joint ventures in various sectors. He said Pakistan wanted to strengthen regional cooperation by fostering stronger economic ties with our partner nations.
The Senate chairman said under the phase two of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), bilateral cooperation will further expand in agriculture, industrial growth and educational and cultural partnership.
He said China has shared its desire with Pakistan in achieving sustainable development goals.
Gilani stressed the need to enhance people to people contacts and cultural linkages besides strengthening economic ties for reaching the common goal of an integrated, peaceful and cooperative region.
Earlier, Senate Chairman Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has said that Pakistan greatly values its bilateral relations with United Kingdom (UK) and desires to further expand the bilateral relations to new levels for mutual benefit. –Agencies
