ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Shibli Faraz stressed that the incumbent regime wants to strengthen the institutions as people come and go but institutions remain. He was addressing the inauguration ceremony of Photographic Exhibition ‘Freedom Struggle for Pakistan’ in Islamabad on Thursday.
Shibli Faraz said, “We have to take the country towards development and self-reliance if we want to attain a dignified place in the comity of nations. He said on the auspicious occasion of Independence Day, we should renew the pledge that we will not refrain from any sacrifice for the protection and progress of the country.â€
“The 14th August reminds us that the Muslims of sub-continent regardless of uncountable problems achieved success in their struggle for a separate homeland under the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam for their national and religious identity.
“Quaid-e-Azam turned the dream of Pakistan into a reality. The atrocities unleashed against Muslims in India as well as Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir have vindicated Quaid-e-Azam’s vision of Pakistan. “The present government is making sincere efforts for socio-economic changes in the country. The government gave the vision of Naya Pakistan and devoting all its energies for the welfare people. The country is facing multiple challenges due to the flawed policies of the past. The process of accountability will go ahead and no effort will be spared to uphold the rule of law and strengthen the national institutions.â€
Later, talking to the media, the Information Minister said the government wants unity on matters of national interests. He said all the decisions will be taken in the best interest of the country. Referring to the improvement in Covid-19 situation, the Information Minister said the government’s smart lockdown policy remained success.
