Govt to boost trade ties with SAARC States, says Sarwar

LAHORE: Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar on Thursday enquired about the health of ailing Iftikhar Ali Malik President SAARC chamber of Commerce and Industry and Chairman United Business Group.
Governor visited the residence of indisposed veteran trade leader Iftikhar Ali Malik (78) to enquire about his health and prayed for his early restoration of health. He also congratulated him for assuming the top slot of president of the SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) for two years term and hoped that he will continue to exploit his potentials for the promotion of trade and industry in South Asia.
Chaudhry Sarwar further pinned hope that Malik would utilize his best abilities to bring closer the SAARC member states besides promoting regional trade and economic integration He further said that his nomination was a proof of his untiring and selfless efforts for the business community of the region,”.
He said Pakistan is fully committed to improving trade relations among SAARC countries including India to make South Asia the most economically integrated region in the world.
