RAWALPINDI: To provide a platform to young artists, a week-long group painting exhibition titled, “Galaxies” was organized by Punjab Council of Arts (PUCAR) Rawalpindi. Member Punjab Assembly (MPA) Seemabia Tahir was chief guest of concluding ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, Seemabia Tahir said that the works of art in the exhibition are closer to reality. She said Pakistani artists are rich in art and are making the country famous all over the world.
The MPA said that the Punjab government under the leadership of Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar was taking significant steps to promote art.
Naheed Manzoor said that art was the best way to express emotions. The young artists have beautifully portrayed their emotions on canvas.
Younis Rumi, Hamida Sundas, Tarim Rafiq, Sonia Wasim, Syed Khurram Abbas, Omar Farmeed, Wajiha Batool, Iman Qaiser, Tania Afzal, Areba Javed, Jazeeb Ali Qureshi, Fiza Amjad, Mir Jahangir, Shakeel Bhatti, Umm Salma, Muqaddas participated.
The works of Uzair, Junaid Raza, Hajira Nadeem and Maleeha Faisal were on display. The exhibition depicted green fields, mountains, and country life on canvas.
At the end of the ceremony, certificates of appreciation were distributed among all the artists. The exhibition remained open to the public for a week.
