BEIJING: The government of Guangdong province is making every effort to build a beautiful countryside suitable for both living and working while accelerating rural vitalization, according to a senior official.
Huang Kunming, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, said relevant departments should highlight the key points and overcome difficulties to make great efforts to promote the construction of agricultural and rural modernization.
Huang, also Party secretary of Guangdong province, made the remarks at the province’s rural work conference and the mobilization conference to comprehensively promote the high-quality development projects of 100 counties, 1,000 townships and 10,000 villages in the province. Huang urged relevant departments to fully ensure the stable and safe supply of grain and other important agricultural products, make efforts to stabilize and increase production of grain, and speed up the construction of a diversified food supply system to help achieve the goal. Meanwhile, Guangdong would fully promote the construction of modern marine pastures, improve the backbone network of grain and agricultural products circulation and try to accelerate construction of pig and vegetable projects to constantly improve the ability to guarantee supply of agricultural products, he said.
