Hamas condemns Israeli attack, calls for pressure to uphold Gaza truce

Hamas has condemned an Israeli air strike on the Gaza Strip that killed one person and wounded several others, stressing that Israel is seeking to undermine efforts to secure a lasting ceasefire.

The movement said the strike, which took place on Wednesday and was the first such attack in more than a week, showed Israel was determined to thwart the efforts of mediators, guarantors and the Board of Peace to reach a sustainable ceasefire agreement.

Hamas called on all parties to fulfil their responsibilities to restore calm and stability and urged pressure on Israel to abide by the terms already agreed. –Agencies
