Haryana: The Haryana Police has arrested one of the three accused in the Rewari gang rape. According to the police, Nishu was involved in planning and organising everything. The police, at a press conference, said Nishu had planned the entire thing. The police also revealed that the doctor who was arrested was aware of what was happening and that a girl was held captive in the room.
Nishu had called Deen Dayal and asked for a room, police said. Deen Dayal was the owner of the room where the 19-year-old girl was raped.
Nishu’s arrest is the third arrest in the case. Earlier today, the police had arrested two men, including a doctor in connection with the rape case. The police also raided multiple locations.
The two men arrested were Dr Sanjeev, who first attended to the woman following the crime, and Deen Dayal on whose property she was allegedly raped.
Meanwhile, Rewari’s SP Rajesh Duggal was transferred today. Rahul Sharma will take charge as the new SP.
The victim’s family alleged that police had failed to take prompt action on their complaint and delayed action by citing jurisdiction issue between police units of Rewari and Mahendergarh districts.
