Tangshan: Places administered by Tangshan, Hebei province, have set up various channels for the public to report crimes in a citywide crackdown after several women were assaulted on Friday by a group of men at a restaurant.
The places include the Lubei district, where the assault happened, as well as Qianxi, Luannan and Laoting counties.
Top officials in Tangshan stressed that no crime report from the public will be missed and that the city has zero tolerance.
“We can’t stop for a moment, can’t be wrong for even one step and can’t afford to miss a day,” said an official in a group led by the city’s Party chief, Wu Weidong, in the early hours of Wednesday on an inspection of the campaign’s headquarters.
