Heroin smuggling bid foiled at Islamabad Airport

ISLAMABAD: The Airport Security Force (ASF) on Tuesday foiled a bid to smuggle over one-kilogram heroin worth millions of rupees abroad and arrested an accused at Islamabad International Airport.
According to ASF sources, during a search of baggage of a passenger identified as Mursaleen Khan leaving for Turkey through an international airline flight at Islamabad International Airport, 1.122-kilogram heroin was recovered.
The ASF confiscated the recovered heroin and arrested the accused. The nabbed drug peddler was later handed over to Anti- Narcotics Force (ASF) for further investigation.

15 held, arms, drugs recovered

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police arrested 15 criminals from various areas of the city and recovered hashish, wine, as well as weapons from their possession, here this Tuesday.
As par details, PS Aabpara busted four accused Faraz Ahmed, Muhammad Altaf, Safeer messih and Zain Saleem and recovered 0 liters alcohols, two wine bottles and 115 gram heroin from their possession. PS Karachi Company caught two accused Rafil and Safer Meseeh and recovered one wine bottle from their possession. PS Shahzad Town nabbed accused Abdul and recovered one 30 bore pistol from him. CIA Cops busted accused Aamir Khan and recovered one 30 bore pistol from him. Similarly, PS Bara Kaho apprehended three accused Rashid Mehmood, Fahad Gillani and Mohsin and recovered 03 pistols along with ammunition from their possession. PS Khanna arrested 3 accused Yasir, Ilyas and Nazer involved in theft while Shalimar police held a suspect Rizwan involved in street crime. Separated cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further legal proceeding is underway. SSP Operations Syed Mustafa Tanvir has appreciated the performance and asked for renewed efforts to curb such practices and get rid of society from such menace. The SSP also categorically asked all police officials to focus on resolving the public complaints and take every possible step to provide maximum relief to citizens. He said that performance in this regard would be reviewed on continuous basis.
