RAWALPINDI: Punjab Council of Arts (PUCAR) in collaboration with Bazm-e-Ahbab Qalam Pakistan on Monday organized a poetry recital to pay homage to renowned Urdu, Punjabi and Pothohari poet, writer, journalist, playwright, feature writer and vocalist Baqi Siddiqui on the occasion of his 50th death anniversary.
Famous poet and writer Prof Jamil Yousaf presided over the event while Dr. Farhat Abbas and Prof. Irfan Jameel were special guests. Qayyum Tahir, Mahmooda Ghazi, Syed Azam Shah Kazmi and Muntazer Imam Rizvi were guests of honour. Prof. Ehsan Akbar and Ali Ahmad Qamar specially participated. Ahmad Ali Hashmi anchored the poetry recital.
Renowned poets of Rawalpindi Islamabad Prof Irfan Jameel, Anjum Haliq, Ali Asghar Samar Khurram Khaliq, Muhammad Irfan Khan, Jahangir Imran, Naeem Akram Qureshi, Nasir Ali Nasiri, Anwar Hashmi Chanda Khairy, Sajjad Shah, Mohammad Naeem Javed, Gul Nazak, Prof. Khalil Rahman, Nusrat Yab, Mohammad Muzammil Abbas Shajar, Khawar Leghari, Sultan Harfi, Naveed Aslam Kahut, Abdul Razzaq Sehar and others participated in poetry recital and paid rich tribute to Baqi Siddique.
