Hong Kong: The Hong Kong Court of Final Appeal on Monday upheld the constitutionality of the face mask ban that Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Chief Executive Carrie Lam imposed last year amid turmoil, rejecting a legal challenge by over 20 opposition figures in the city.
A five-judge panel ruled that the ban on face masks at unauthorized protests and rallies was proportionate and no more than reasonably necessary to prevent violence.
