ISLAMABAD: The Huawei Technologies (Pvt.) Ltd. Pakistan in collaboration with Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan has planned to organize a eight-day long online training for outstanding students in the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
Under “Huawei Seeds for the Future Programme 2022”, 30 to 40 outstanding Pakistani students in the field of ICT will be selected for the training to obtain valuable cutting-edge ICT knowledge (5G, Cloud, AI, etc.) developed by Huawei’s Headquarters and experience cross-cultural communication virtually.
Under the subject program, in the last 7 years, 130 students were selected from varsities across Pakistan by HEC, and 55 of them were sent by Huawei to China for two weeks of training on culture and advanced ICT skills. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this year the program will be conducted online.
Interested students can apply for the program by visiting the HEC website and the deadline for the program to apply is September 16, 2022. Following their selection, the outstanding Pakistani students in the field of ICT will take part in the training program tentatively from September 26 onward for a week.
Under “Seeds for the Future” intuitive, Huawei brings together young global talents from top universities to a free-of-charge, mind-blowing, and life-changing exchange program in China.
There, they explore Huawei’s cutting-edge ICT, experience traditional and modern Chinese culture, and hone their professional development. Under the program, the participants will avail of opportunities to experience “how theory becomes reality by practicing in Huawei labs and training centers”. –Agencies
